Job Description:
- Create comprehensive media plans and develop key messages, media responses, media materials
- Provide ongoing media strategy and counsel
- Aggressively publicize assigned initiatives (corporate, brand/marketing programs, product launches, etc.)
- Generate broadcast, print and internet coverage for FLNA in consumer-focused news outlets
- Develop and sustain excellent working relationships with trade reporters/outlets
- Participate in spokesperson media training activities;
- Coordinate with PR director and team to manage news affecting FLNA reputation (recalls, obesity and nutrition)
- Manage PR agencies
- Stay abreast of key issues facing the company and the food industry
- Collaborate with social media and internal communications team to extend value/reach of stories
- Understanding of and experience in emerging social, digital and on-line media
- Uncover, explore and learn about new tools and techniques important to conducting effective media outreach and deploy as appropriate
- Collaborate/support requests from PepsiCo media team
- Identify and manage measurement tools to track FLNA’s positioning in the media
